Tomato Chutney


Its been a long time since I wrote a recipe so here it is guys.
This recipe just came to me when I was asked to cook something real fast and the only thing that I had were tomatoes and our spices.
You will need:
Tomatoes
Mustard seeds
Haldi/turmeric
Jeera power/whole jeera
Garam masala
Dhania powder
ajwain
Kadipatta
Salt
Jaggery

From the ingredients I am sure you have guessed what is to be done but I shall still elaborate.

Chop tomatoes into medium size pieces.
Heat a little bit of oil in a pan
When it becomes hot add a few kadipatta leaves, mustard seeds, jeera, haldi, garam masala, dhania powder, salt and little bit of ajwain.
On low flame let the mixture cook a bit but DO NOT let it burn.
To this add the tomatoes and mix it up and let it cook properly.
When it is about to be cooked properly add a little bit of jaggery so that it becomes tangy but not sweet.
After a few minutes switch off the gas and serve hot along with khichadi or have it like another veggie with roti.
