Fairytale

As kids we have always imagined our life as a fairytale and day dreamed about all those events where we are the prince/princess charming and the world is so different.
Well step into my world for a bit and see this princess in her world.

It indeed was like that when I went to Berlin and knew that I will be performing in the Olympic stadium on the 30th Anniversary celebrations of the Art of Living- World Culture Festival. And it was literally just that- a World Culture festival. People from all over the world were there, sharing and cheering- humanity and not a country.
There was rain and wind and it was cold and it did nothing but increased the smiles and laughter even more. On 2nd July morning we were all excited to perform. In the rains next to the stadium in the hockey stadium we were practicing for the grand finale dance. Barefoot with the light drizzle and the wind we practiced not knowing exactly what was in store for us in the evening.
All of us were in Berlin for the first time and the stadium was HUGE…..it took us 15 minutes to just walk to the changing rooms. To find our room was like entering the world of Alice in Wonderland. The same door (atleast we thought it was the same one) opened to different things and we were lost underneath the stadium. Adding to the confusion the lift had doors on either side that opened. We had a flight of stairs going down followed by a short walk across the parking and up we went two floors and into a hallway with identical doors opening to different things and sometimes linked to each other.  It was a maze. Luckily we had a fairy Godmother who took us from the room to the artists entrance to the ground.
Once there we just had to wait along with others for our performance. The wait made us a little edgy, as we were the last ones to perform. The HMMMM process in YES!+ came to rescue and we all stood in a line and climbed the stairs leading to the walkway right in the middle of the stadium. When we reached upstairs we were hit with a wave of applause and cheers. I could hear my heart pounding in my ears and excitement danced all over me. We turned back, waved to Guruji (silently took blessings) and then there was no looking back. With smiles pasted on our faces we were ready. It was a 10 minute performance and those 10 minutes nothing else mattered.

The rain, the wind, the slippery floor- nothing mattered. We were just THERE and doing what we had practiced with thousand times more energy for the one person who changed all our lives. Grace flowed in our every move and we had the time of our life. A laser show followed and we were on the tracks. I felt like running the whole lap and shouting all the way.
I couldn’t thank my stars enough and still wonder what I did to be there on that day. Right there in the middle of the Olympic stadium with thousands cheering and millions watching across the globe. It was like a dream and this princess was there, right there. But this princess had a Fairy Godfather in her life. And HE was there to guide her and grant her every thing that is best for her and be there with her in every breath she took. Like you have a shield around you that will protect you from anything so that you are untouched.
And that dream is my living reality.

HE has only one thing to say- Reality is limited by your imagination!

So go wild, LIVE your own dreams J

Jai Gurudev!
Love,
G
